The Ramp is a place of awakening in Hamilton, Alabama, where hundreds gather each month from across the nation and world to pursue the real Jesus. We’re loud. We’re aggressive. We hope to jolt the complacent out of stupor and into the reality of God. Our mission is to awaken a generation out of spiritual death and religious complacency, calling them to their individual purpose and corporate responsibility as an offensive army imposing the kingdom of God. Although youth and young adults primarily attend, the Ramp is not just a youth thing; it's a hunger thing. It’s an awakening thing - it’s for all those in need of an awakening whose desire is to then turn and awaken others.

The time of prayer was about three o'clock in the afternoon, and Peter and John were going into the temple. A man who had been born lame was being carried to the temple door. Each day he was placed beside this door, known as the Beautiful Gate. He sat there and begged from the people who were going in. The man saw Peter and John entering the temple, and he asked them for money. But they looked straight at him and said, "Look up at us!" The man stared at them and thought he was going to get something. But Peter said, "I don't have any silver or gold! But I will give you what I do have. In the name of Jesus Christ from Nazareth, get up and start walking." Peter then took him by the right hand and helped him up. At once the man's feet and ankles became strong, and he jumped up and started walking. He went with Peter and John into the temple, walking and jumping and praising God. Everyone saw him walking around and praising God.

My dad used to say that a time is coming when it will be the best of the best and the worst of the worst. I believe that we are in the beginning of those times. For those who trust in the Lord it will be the best of the best, but for those who don’t it will be the worst of the worst. We are in a time when the world is raging all around us, but we can be at peace because the prince of peace, a peace that passes all understanding, lives inside of us. As the world is raging and groaning and darkness is all around we are to bring light into a dark and dying world, the light of life, Jesus Christ the Saviour of the world.
We believe that a triumphant reserve is being raised up in this hour, a people who have been trained and equipped for such a time as this to release the glory of God in the earth. We think that God is bringing us to a deeper place of faith and trust in him and if we will quit looking at the world around us with our natural eyes and begin to see with our spiritual eyes then we will begin to see the eternal things of God and become kingdom minded. You may see dry bones but I see an army!
